B.S. CIVIL-ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING

Entry Level Civil-Environmental Engineer

Newport Beach, California based Consulting Engineer specializing in Water Resources, Industrial Water Pollution Control, Wastewater Pretreatment, and Resource Recovery

Applicant must have a B.S. in Civil-Environmental Engineering and an EIT or obtain an EIT at the first opportunity.

The successful applicant must have a strong desire to have an engineering career, work in the wastewater-environmental field and obtain professional registration to advance and assume greater responsibility. Sound scientific foundation needed, strong communication and writing skills required and computer proficiency with database, spreadsheets, word processing, statistics and CAD software a plus; however, computer skills could be acquired on the job as this is a MacOS office.
Initial involvement will include both field and office work for monitoring and sampling of process wastewater discharge to local sewerage facilities. The position will include office evaluation of data, reporting and coordination with the laboratory and Regulatory Agencies
Strong communication skills a necessity, the position will involve contact and interaction with client operating personnel, Regulatory Agencies and ICI project management personnel with the need to make oral and written communications and reports on observations and site investigation work. All field and office work must be documented and communicated in accurate and precise technical language that is explicit and understandable.
The position will evolve to include project responsibility for development of sampling programs, permitting, coordination with Federal, State and Local Regulatory Agencies, process and pretreatment design, preparation of design drawings and specifications, construction administration, development of operation and maintenance procedures and manuals, and client contact.
